1. Who We Are

Sinister Printworks is a 3D printing business owned and operated by Ean Butler, based in Junction City, KS. Our website is sinisterprintworks.net. Sinister Omnipresence is a macOS desktop application developed by Ean Butler for Sinister Printworks that schedules and publishes original business content to social media platforms including Pinterest.

Sinister Omnipresence is not endorsed by or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc. Use of the Pinterest name refers solely to the third-party platform with which the app integrates via the official Pinterest API.

2. Data We Collect and Why

2a. Sinister Printworks Website

  • Shipping & contact information (name, address, email) — collected at checkout solely for order fulfillment. Retained for the duration of your order and any legally required period thereafter.
  • Payment data — processed securely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers or full payment details.
  • 3D model files (STL/3MF uploads) — stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket accessible only by our manufacturing system. Automatically purged 30 days after order completion.

2b. Sinister Omnipresence — Pinterest API

Sinister Omnipresence uses the Pinterest API (v5) to publish original business content on behalf of the authenticated account owner (Ean Butler / Sinister Printworks). The following data interactions occur:

  • OAuth access token — stored locally in macOS Keychain on the device of the app owner. Never transmitted to any third-party server.
  • Board list (boards:read) — fetched to display available boards in the app UI so the owner can select a publishing destination. Not stored persistently.
  • Pin data (pins:read) — fetched only for display in the UI for review. Not stored or transmitted beyond the local app session.
  • New pins (pins:write) — images, titles, and descriptions of original Sinister Printworks product content are submitted to Pinterest via the API for publishing to the owner's own boards.
  • Board creation (boards:write) — new boards may be created on the owner's account to organize product content categories.
  • Account info (user_accounts:read) — username and account type fetched to verify authentication status and display in the app. Not stored.

Pinterest-derived data is not retained after the app session ends. If Pinterest access is disconnected, all associated tokens are deleted from the local Keychain immediately.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Order fulfillment and shipping (website)
  • Publishing original Sinister Printworks content to social media (Sinister Omnipresence)
  • Internal analytics to improve our services

We do not use data for advertising profiling, sell data to third parties, or use Pinterest-derived data for any purpose beyond the original API operation that retrieved it.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or redistribute personal data or Pinterest-derived data to any third party. We do not resell or re-distribute Pinterest content or metadata. Service providers we use (Stripe for payments, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, Vercel for hosting) process data only as necessary for the services they provide and under their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

  • Order and shipping data: retained for the legally required period, then deleted.
  • 3D model files: purged 30 days after order completion.
  • Pinterest tokens: stored only in local macOS Keychain; deleted immediately upon disconnect.
  • Pinterest-derived API data: not persisted beyond the active app session.

6. Your Rights

7. Pinterest API Disclosure

Sinister Omnipresence uses the Pinterest API to publish content to Pinterest on behalf of the authenticated account owner. This application is independently developed and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc.in any way. Use of the Pinterest platform is subject to Pinterest's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
